Avril + KFC

My new toy. The name is Avril.

Let me introduce this to everyone, her name is Botak, she is my new toy.

Avril's hair got shaved off, because she is dropping hair already! Pre-mature balding! Haha.

My kiasu cousin brought her to some sophisticated hairdresser-cum-calligraphy-brush-maker-place to get her baby hair cut off and made into a paint brush. Too rich lor some people. Haha.

So Avril can't put on any nice hair clips now, Botak!

ANYWAY, when Daddy and Mummy has to work overtime, it means that we young ones have to settle dinner by ourselves. My sister -who will make a perfect chef when she grows up- wanted to fry eggs for us all, but there are none in the refrigerator. So, brilliant Me suggested fast food, and even more brilliant to say 'Let's go KFC'.

I started to regret even before entering the fast food restaurant, suggesting to my siblings to go to McDonald's instead, but my siblings were quite intent to get their butts onto the seats of KFC.

The KFC was small and packed, and very very very noisy, all thanks to those kids shouting to each other at the top of their lungs when they are just next to each other. Of course, like always, their parents continued eating their fried chicken nonchalantly. Singaporeans' behavior and etiquette ah... I can only roll my eyes.

Ordering took so long! The cashiers are so sloooooooooooow. Goodness! I had more than enough time to calculate which was the most worthy meal to buy. After much pondering, I decided to try the Shrooms Burger.

Then, I wanted Sprite for my drink, but I forgot KFC doesn't carry Sprite, so I corrected myself and said '7Up, please'. That counter girl looked at the drink dispenser for a great deal of 5 whole seconds before saying 'Sorry, no 7Up.' OKAY~ 'Give me Mountain Dew then'. ... ... ... ..., another few seconds went by before the counter girl opened her mouth and said 'Also no Mountain Dew'. x_x 'Er, then what else do you still have?' *silence* 'Okay, get me Root Beer'. Being next to choicelessness, I settled for Root Beer.

Here's the wonderful part.

Not only does my neighbourhood has the smallest KFC in the world, it sells the smallest burger in the world too! This is what I had for dinner last night, a pathetic little Shrooms Burger.

This is not even enough to fill the gaps in between my teeth can?

So it wasn't much of a surprise to me when I opened my whip potato.

It wasn't even filled to the brim.

Talk about good customer service! Hello? It looks as though someone went to scoop away the top layer of my whipped potato can?

What a disappointing dinner, I had to buy bao, siew mai and hagao to eat before I finally feel full.

So, the next time my parents say that they have to work overtime, I know where to go. I'll go down to the mama shop and buy some eggs and get my sister to fry them for me. That will definitely make a better and more scrumptious dinner than KFC.

Bumming around + Baby Avril

It feels great to be waking up at 10am every morning! Now that I'm not working, I'm back to being a professional Bummer.

This is what a bummer does: Wakes up at noon, eats Brunch, watches TV for hours, surfs the Net, plays dumb quizzes on Facebook, listens to CDs, updates her blog, and back to sleep.
That's going to be my time-table soon, and I'm so looking forward to it.

Anyway, Baby Avril is GROWING bigger and bigger every time I see her. Her cheeks are so puffed up, they are sagging already. HAHA.

Anyway, Sembawang Music Store is having this mega sale for 3 days! 50% off STORE WIDE!!! We started at Sengkang's Sembawang, spent close to $70 there. Then we went to Marine Parade's Sembawang and spent another $62 there. Muah Ha Ha.

What's funny is that out of the $132 worth of CDs we bought, only 3 are mine. My dad bought the most, mostly oldies.. My mum bought a few of Jacky Cheung's albums.. My Sis bought Rihanna's Good Girl Gone Bad Reloaded, although she already has the non-reloaded one.. My Bro couldn't be bothered to buy any, he just wants to rip off from us.

Top Left: 吴克群's very first album 《一个人的Tomorrow》. I've been looking for this album for a long long long time. I finally found it, and it's selling at half price! WOOT!

Top Right: Suzanne Vega's [Beauty & Crime]. Although I've not heard any songs in this album before I bought it, I believe it's good. I like Vega's pronunciation of words and the way she sings.. You don't have to look at the lyric book to know what's she singing, and that's called POWERFUL.

Bottom: B.A.D's 《皇后之歌》. I've always admired B.A.D's singing.. They are one boy band that really has the VOICE. They once went to Katong Convent in 2004 and held a mini concert-校园演唱会, and I got to see them right before my eyes. I remember telling myself I've never seen guys so TALL before. Haha. They are really handsome too.

So, yeah.. More CDs for me to drown myself in. HAHAHA. This is a good way to kick-start the dying economy too, huh? :)

Everyone, meet baby Avril, my Niece. It's not the first time I'm being an auntie, but it's still so exciting to have another baby to play with. Hehheh.

Now, I need to rant.

My day started off rather bad today, my MRT journey was pretty much destroyed by the MENTAL CASE who stood next to me. This INSANE(literally) man boarded the train at Paya Lebar station, stood next to me in the extremely crowded cabin. If he had remained quiet throughout the journey, I would not have been so frustrated, but he kept murmuring to himself and simply repeated "Chee Bai, Chow Chee Bai, Chee Bai, Chow Chee Bai" throughout his entire bloody journey. OK, you stand NEXT to me and keep murmuring those awful words into MY ear?!? You SON OF A GUN, piece of shit. I felt like pouring cement into his mouth and poking his eyeball out of his socket with an umbrella. KAO BEI la. !@#$%^&* What's worse, he kept scratching himself, especially his belly area, f***ing gross la. Asshole! The mental case then whipped out his Samsung F480 for a couple of times, for what reasons, I don't know. Mental cases do things without reasons anyway. I was discussing with my mum how the hell did the mental case get to buy that nice phone. And we came to a conclusion almost instantly, he STOLE it. That reasoning fits perfectly.

My journey might not have turned out so irritating if we didn't meet another NUT CASE. This nut case man had bright GOLD hair that belonged to the '90s, and wore bright PINK shirt. Whatever he had on his mind, his decision to look that bad somewhat confirmed that he is mental too. He couldn't be more nuts than looking weird, he had to squeeze himself through the human crowd in the cabins and walk up and down the cabins a couple of times! INSANE!!! He was just pushing his way through, banging and knocking onto people without apologizing, and continue his quest towards the other ends of the train. MAD. My mother asked if the train passed by IMH. Yes, it DEFINITELY did.

Then, I became even more Pek Cek while waiting for the shuttle bus. I failed to catch the bus for a number of times already, and so I thought that the service could have ceased already, and I took public buses to campus. Today, I decided to give the shuttle service another chance, so I waited for it for quite a while. Again, it seemed as though there was no bus, so I boarded an SBS bus. Just around 3 bus stops later, I saw the campus shuttle bus drive past my SBS bus. WTH??!!?? It's really not my day.

Argh. Thankfully work was okay today, or else I think I could have exploded already.

Had dinner with my ex-colleagues after work, went to Orchard with Alywin to meet the rest. And we waited super duper trouper long for all to arrive, all thanks to Joash, to told us to meet at 6p.m, appearing only at 7p.m. Yuen Kheng and Sarah were there too. We ate at a Japanese Restaurant called Shokudo. It was... never mind. Probably going to be my first and last time eating there. The food they have is really just normal, but the prices they charge are really exorbitant. We shared our food and drinks, so we only had to pay around 17 bucks each. But we had fun and laughter, which was simply priceless.

GOODNIGHT, going for the Tree Top Walk tomorrow with Mummy.

Damn it, something pek cek too... MOE sent me a letter, telling me that I have $0.71 left in my Edusave. Seventy-one cents? I can't even take a bus home from campus la! INSANE. Argh.
