Walked around Bugis and bumped into May and Melissa.
How small can Singapore be?
After seeing each other all the time in campus, we meet again outside of campus.
Liz and Dad joined us and had dinner together at Billy Bombers.
Although the portion of the food was quite pathetic, it's still better than eating in school.
-------------------------------
So fragile.
Regardless of whatever being/matter/creature you are.
I was bathing just now and felt something crawl up my leg, it was a small little Beetle.
Instead of shrieking in horror like how I would normally react, I flicked it off my leg calmly.
Then, just how normal people will do when they see a pest, I tried to drown Beetle with the shower's gushing stream of water.
Failed. Beetle remained strong and seemed almost nonchalant about the high-speed water wave hitting against it's hard tough wings.
Giving up, I decided to let Beetle crawl away.
Beetle seemed to be lost within the cubicle, twirling in circles around my feet.
I stared at it in amusement, then continued shampooing.
I was almost done with bubbling my body when I realised Beetle was still struggling to get out of the cubicle.
It could not climb vertically upwards, the tiles were too slippery.
I rinsed off the foam on my body, thinking that Beetle could have found a way out, only to find out that he got soaked in a pool of bubbles.
Beetle crawled furiously, fighting for his life.
He then finally reached the edge of the door, being an inch more to safer grounds.
There, I tried to do something nice, helping Beetle escape.
With a flip-flop in hand, I nudged Beetle slowly, up the curb, and out of the flooded cubicle.
Great, Beetle is safe, I thought to myself.
I towelled myself slowly, changed and opened the door of the cubicle.
In front of me, on the floor, is Beetle, turtle-up, dead.
I nudged it again, but it remained motionless.
After braving so much, the waters, the torrents, the bubbles and the turbulence, Beetle gave up.
Did he know that he was already safe?
He succumbed to exhaustion.
He used all he had to fight, never did he realise that that will be his last fight.
Fight on, Kids!
