方大同- 《橙月》 ☆☆☆☆☆

No time for lengthy critics, so I will settle for a summarised overview of Khalil Fong’s forth album, Orange Moon. （方大同- 《橙月》）

Truthfully, I used to despise Khalil Fong’s music. I found them cheesy and extremely hard to digest. With awkward twists and turns of tunes and tones, his instantaneous changing R&B style was just out-of-the-world for me. The sensational hit 〈爱爱爱〉became the theme song of the MandoPop in year 2007, but the after-effect was bad, I found it hard to accept a singer who sings in that sort of manner, the say-sing manner.

However, I was simply awed by Orange Moon. The album is packed with songs that are less dynamic(till you find them irritating) and really pleasant to the ears. The only setback is that his songs tend to revolve round the same genre, and one can get confused with another quite easily, or find that Khalil does not have enough creativity to create distinct features in each of his songs.
The first song in Orange Moon is 〈Singalongsong〉 which has simple lyrics with a really catchy tune. I fell in love with this sing-along song the very first time I heard it on a TV programme. Other awesome songs include 〈小小虫〉，〈黑白〉，〈黑洞里〉，〈每个人都会〉etc. Gosh, I might as well name the entire album! Haha. Then there’s〈三人游〉, which is almost like the sequel of 〈四人游〉from his previous album, it also has a quirky beat that will surely grab everyone’s ears and hearts. Now, now, now, whose album still has a hidden track in this era? Well, Khalil Fong’s has. After the last track of this album, 〈为你写的歌〉 (the Mandarin version of Singalongsong), at around 16 minutes, there is the hidden track. Presumably called 〈Orange Moon〉 , this hidden track is the demo version of Eason Chan’s 〈倒带人生〉composed by Khalil himself. It’s definitely a sweet surprise to find that there is a wonderful song hidden at the very end of a very superb album.

Sick

Fell sick yesterday, itchy throat and really bad headache. Came down with fever in the end. I think I went too high over Aaron, that's why my temperatures increased. Drank a lot of water, thinking that I can feel better, ended up visiting the toilet for too many times. I did not report to work today, fever hasn't subsided and my head still felt heavy... Hate being sick, that feeling sucks, I feel cold and hot at the same time, only to get even more irritated by myself. My appetite is gone, nothing tastes nice and even plain water tastes disgusting down the throat. There must be a bucket of phlegm in my throat too, can never get rid of them totally. What's best is that I keep zao sia-ing (走音) now, I croak when I talk!
AND, iTunes, you are so user-unfriendly! Argh.

Sick.

Driving + NTU talks.

Had my 2nd driving practical today... Since I do not have a PDL yet, I turned circles within the circuit again. I tried the S curve today, drove onto a kurb... Haha, kia kia.. I must get ny PDL next week, I don't wanna drive at 10km/hr inside the circuit anymore!

Met Wanling and Baobao at Suntec for the NTU talks. Saw Wenying and Vanessa too. That mad girl cut her hair. Berlyn was there too, miss her SOOOOOOOOOOO much. Must remind her to plan another AVA dinner...

Passed Tricia the magazines. That insane girl and her friends went off for lunch when the talks just started and carried on with shopping instead! Take leave for what? Haha. Met her after the talks and went to buy a Nike water bottle. FINALLY! A water bottle!

Chronicles of work. haha

Realised I've been sighing a lot recently. That's a bad sign. It's either I'm stressed up, or that oxygen isn't reaching my brain. Probably I'm too tired that's why... Have been burrying myself into bed before 10p.m nowadays and still feel tired all day. Something is wrong, probably because I haven't been buying CDs. Yes, I think that's the reason. Khalil Fong, I'm coming! Yeah man~

Went to Ngee Ann City to watch Kenneth's performance after work yesterday... and spent $39 on magazines... Muah Ha Ha. If Tricia had her card, I would be able to save eight dollars la...
Kenneth's performance was not bad la... Kind of boring actually, performing the same songs I've heard since he was in Sec 1. His bass clarinet was cool nonetheless.

Brought the magazines to office today, read it during lunch. Went high and mad. Obviously, its Aaron Yan we're dealing with here. Haha. Ate rice bowl, which was really just okay... Will source for better food in the campus soon.
Anyway, Mui Teng was sharing some lame jokes with us yesterday, and this one is really good.
"Superman flies with one arm extended and another at the side of his body. What is the reason for that arm of his to be at the side of his body?
Ans: To change gear."
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. This joke is bloody funny la!
Another 'joke' Alywin shared(true story):
The first swimming lesson in NS- Getting into the pool. You can get into the pool either by
1) Climbing the ladder at the side of the pool.
2) Sit at the edge of the pool then put your legs into the water then get your whole body into the pool.
3) Just jump in.
HAHAHAHAHA. Imagine teaching grown up boys how to swim and instructing them step by step on getting themselves into the pool. I really wonder how they managed to refrain from laughing during the training.

After lunch, during that few minutes of digestion period, I started doodling ‘炎亚纶’on the whiteboard in my 'Fish Tank'... Then it became insane. Haha. Mui Teng started testing me 听写... I wrote all sorts of nonsense from everyone's Chinese names to 飞轮海 to 马来西亚 to 义安理工学院.. CRAZY, but FUN. Hehheh, look at the top left hand corner, there's [Edelyn ♥ 炎亚纶]... Haha, and I joined Mui Teng's name to 孙协志...

Mui Teng, became insane as well, after 发-ing 花痴 with me.

That's the 'Fish Tank' by the way, my work room. A room with glass panes so huge, I'm like Nemo in an aquarium waiting for people to admire my deformed fin in the midst of their hustle and bustle.

Okay, I'm losing it already, better go sleep before I turn zombie.

Had my first driving practical today, it was quite fun in the beginning, until it became kind of boring just turning in circles around the circuit. Haha, there was a moment where I had to turn on a signal and make a small turn, but as the turn was very small, the signal did not self-cancel. I panicked and moved my fingers(from both hands) and ended activating the windscreen wipers. Haha. Besides that minor blunder, I was FINE, okay? So Kenneth, stop suan-ing me.

Went to Auntie Kwan Kwan's house for lunch. Her house is all the way at Bukit Timah, Parc Palais. Nice condo, nicer swimming pool, like where else can you find sharks swimming next to you? Haha. It's a pity we didn't get to see the sharks or take any pics of them, but we still had fun anyway. We had TauKuaPao, plus chicken curry + salad + pizza + nuggets + mango strudel, a super shiok lunch. Everything was then nicely summed up with fruit chocolate fondue. I then fell asleep after that very fulfilling lunch. Paiseh la, fall asleep on people's sofa. Then, we went to the playground...

Hahahahahahahahahahaha, it was FUN.
