It was just yesterday when Kenneth and I chatted about Michael Jackson, how his influences surpasses barriers of races and his music favoured by the world. This morning, a buzz from my handphone woke me up, it reads: 'Latest news- Michael Jackson died'.
For a second, I thought I was still dreaming, you mean that horribly-bleached-and-dangerously-disfigured singer is dead? Mum then told me to check the news, and indeed, baby-dangler MJ died of cardiac arrest this morning. WOW, that's BIG news. Bigger than the amount of H1N1 cases Singapore has now.
Although MJ did not have any positive influences towards human race in recent years(besides teaching people not to hang their babies over the balcony, not to play with little boys, and not to go bankrupt and lose Neverland), the music he has left with us will go a long way. I personally like 'Heal The World' a lot, never could have imagined a crazy guy like MJ can produce such a beautiful song. It's like getting Britney Spears to sing Christmas carols, they don't link right?
Jacko is crazy, and that's a known fact, but people still respect him. His death seems surreal, like how his life seemed surreal to us too. He was a walking legend, and will remain as one forever.
News of MJ's death overshadowed another loss of Hollywood. Charlie's Angel's Farrah Fawcet died after losing her battle with cancer. That's how vulnerable life is, one day you're on the world's most glamorous stage, and the next, you're halted as one of history's most 'iconic icon (-.-)' and buried into the earth. This is what happens when great people dies.
Perhaps MJ suffered a heart attack knowing that his prettiest Charlie's Angel died. Who knows? More will when they find out that the tickets for MJ's upcoming concerts are non-refundable. Okay, that's just a joke. *Slaps myself for being rude*
Rest in peace, Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcet. I feel nothing much actually, but I guess people in their forties to sixties now are having a hard time coming to the fact that their idols had passed away.
