A grandaunt of mine just passed away...
The last time I saw her (during CNY this year), she seemed fine and healthy, although a stroke has left her rather immobile.
She used to make keropoks (fried fish crackers) for us to eat during Chinese New Years...
The addictive keropok..
The 'cackle' and 'clackle' sounds made when biting the keropok..
The keropok that cause sore throats and fevers during and after the New Years...
It will never be the same anymore.
